YCLA 2017 FINALISTS: Where Are They Now? – Alice Ramos

With the 2018 YCLA Gala Event in just a few months, we wanted to take the time to share more on the 2017 YCLA Finalists and what they have been up to.

Today we are featuring Alice Ramos!

Since last year’s 2017 YCLA Gala, Alice has taken on a new role as a mother. Alice shared that “Being a mother brings a new meaning to work-life balance. Finding time for a worthy cause is more important now more than ever and I to teach my child the importance of empathy, kindness, and caring for others by serving our community.”

Alice has also continued working with some of her favorite programs, the Saxon Investment Club and the Junior Achievement Program. She shared that she is always excited to work with our youth and can’t wait to see what this year brings.

When asked what advice or word of encouragement she would give to other Caymanian leaders, she said:
” It’s important to know that you don’t have to do everything alone and it’s absolutely okay to ask for help. Having a great support system enhances your chance of success.”

We are so proud to call Alice one of our own and grateful for her work among our community and other Young Caymanian Leaders!

Stay tuned in the in the next couple weeks for the announcement of our new 2018 Finalists, more on this year’s 2018 Gala Event, and how you can support both!
